Using the tools

You may use every FormatYard tool for free, for personal or work files, as often as you like. There is no account to make.

Your files

Your files stay yours. They are read and converted on your own computer and are never sent to us. Only convert files you have the right to use.

Results as they are

We test every tool on a large set of test drawings, and each result lists what it changed or left out. Even so, a converted file can differ from the original. Check the result before you rely on it, above all for building, manufacturing or anything else where a mistake costs money or safety.

The tools and their results are offered as they are, without any promise that they fit a particular purpose.

Limits

As far as the law allows, FormatYard is not responsible for any loss that comes from using the tools or their results.

Fair use of the site

Please do not attack or overload the site, or pass the site off as someone else's. The open source parts keep the freedoms of their own licences.

Other software

The tools are built with open source software under its own licences. The licences page lists each part.

Changes

These terms may change as new tools arrive. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
